Thursday I go in to get my tubes tied. I'm not nervous about the aftermath, just the procedure itself and leaving Bella for most of the day, and worried that she might not take a bottle. Yesterday I had to leave her with my in laws so that I could go in to do my pre-op paperwork and blood tests and she would not take a bottle from my MIL. When I got home she was starving and almost tore up my boob. Poor baby. Usually she does fine taking a bottle from my mom, but yesterday mom ended up in the emergency room with Strep and an upper respiratory infection. It would not be such a big deal, but she has moderate Emphysema, and is on oxygen, so it's a very big deal. She's home now and doing better, but I doubt she'll be able to watch the baby on Thursday...I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for that one.
I decided to get my tubes tied once the insurance company started giving DH and attitude about paying for a Vasectomy. They would not pay for the consultation ($200) and would only pay for a portion of his procedure. Where they are willing to cover the whole thing for me...what kind of crap is that? They have to knock me out for this???? Idiots...
but whatever, we're definitely done having kids, and I'm more than ready to close this chapter, I just wish that money was not an issue, because having me out of commission is a much bigger inconvenience than DH having to sit on a bag of peas for a few days......
So here's hoping that the procedure goes well, with no complications and that Bella cooperates and drinks her boob milk bottles without giving her grandparents an attitude.
