The fist to leave was Matthew, off to second grade and more excited than ever...such a cutie. Picked out his clothes last night, got dressed without any drama and actually ate breakfast.
Took him down to the bus and he was happy as can be. Really thought he'd be nervous cause this is the fist time he's off on his own, he's been with his brother the past 2 years, so this was something new for him.
Christopher was up next this morning and even though he's been wearing his new back pack for the past week non stop and has been talking about going to his new school, once the time came for him to go with daddy, he had what I like to call a"Chrissy fit". Lucky for him today was only a 1 hour orientation for the "regular kids" and his official orientation is not till next Wednesday and his bussing begins next Thursday. So he was pissed but went off with his daddy to check things out for 1 hour.
The last one to get on the bus today was Anthony. He's off to sixth grade at the huge middle school and even though I handled the other 2 so well, for him I cried....and cried and cried.
Something about your oldest moving on like that, asking you to drive him to the bus stop, but then leaving you to go stand with the "big kids" and not even looking over when the bus arrived, just broke my heart. Anthony has been through so much and I really thought he'd be a little nervous this morning, but he didn't give it a second thought. He's getting to a stage where he's becoming a little impressionable, so I'll really try not to be the embarrassing mommy. But man this kid is killing me .

Poor Christopher, I love that you took a picture.
I feel the same way about my oldest hitting certain milestones. He got his braces off recently and that bothered me too! He is old enough to have had braces AND get them off?
I hope your baby girl is cooking in there nicely. I know you are having it rough lately. Keep hanging in there.
