The night before I had a low carb meal, and started fasting at 8pm. Went in for my test at 8am, of course they weren't ready yet at the lab, so I had to sit around for almost 1/2 hour.
They took the first vile of blood, made me drink the nasty sweet crap (fruit punch this time). Waited an hour, took another vile, waited another hour, took another vile, and waited another hour and took one last vile.
I was lucky to have some very chatty and funny ladies coming in and out of the office throughout my stay so I didn't get too bored. I also brought my copy of Breaking Dawn, because that's big enough to keep me busy for 3 hours.
When I got home (4 viles of blood lighter), I started feeling nauseous. I had lunch but the headache and the crappy feeling ended up lasting the whole darn day.
Really hope I passed this time. Making a pregnant lady fast should be considered Cruel and Unusual Punishment and should definitely be outlawed!

I agree!!
Ooh, yucky. I had to do the 3 hour glucose test, too. I hated it. But I was apparently the only one who had a doctor who tortured me with a prescribed diet for the three days leading up to the test. It was way higher in carbs than I normally ate and was actually more food than I normally ate, including a half a sandwich and a glass of milk right before bed. In retrospect, I wonder if they just did that because that's what they do and didn't take into account the PCOS and the fact that I can't physically consume that many carbs without feeling completely gross and awful. So ya, my second glucose test was 3 days of torture. But I really do feel bad for you, didn't mean to moan so much. Feel better today, okay? :)
I am crossing my fingers for good numbers for you!
The 3 hour left me feeling like crap all day too! I am hoping that your results come back normal! You'll hear ASAP if they don't. I think I got a call by 3 the following day!
I totally agree! When I went in for my 3 hour test I literally almost passed out! I had driven myself thinking it wouldn't be a big deal but on the last round I was feeling so crappy that I was literally sitting on the floor outside the lab and then after they took my blood I had to go and lay on a bed in the clinic. I had to call a friend to come and get me so she could take me to get some food. It was horrible!
