12 weeks and being shy!

Today I went for my "volunteer" NT scan. I got there nice and late thanks to Christopher and one of him "don't leave me mommy" attacks. So I only had to wait 10 minutes to get in.
Got in and of course, got to see and hear the heart beat right away, even though from all the squirming this kid was doing I had no doubt they'd be a heart beat. My morning coffee really got this kid going today.
She checked all the measurements and everything is on target, there was plenty of kicking, squirming and thumb sucking going on, and almost got a little wave in there...
Of course when the tech said, why don 't we try taking a peek, the little squirt crossed his/her legs and we couldn't see. Better luck next time, but the NT measurements look great, even though this was not "official" and I will be going in for the real one and the blood work, it looks like a perfectly healthy baby with a 167bpm heart rate.

Woo hoooo! :)

Sorry the baby was so shy. But it's so early anyway, it'll be good to get a look later when it's easier to tell. Maybe (s)he will be more cooperative next time!

Aww love the sonogram pics! How cute with the sucking the thumb and leg crossing - Zilla never did any of that stuff. In fact Zilla was a little perv he kept showing us his "stuff" throughout the scan that the tech actually said "um okay we want to see more than your penis little boy" LOL

Hopefully your little one will help you out next time and show off it's "stuff" LOL!!

That hb totally says girl to me... Well, if it were in my tummy, it would be, I know its different for different peeps... I love that its sucking its thumb already! None of mine have done that, at least on camera :D Can't wait until you find out what you're having for sure!

I totally think girl! High heartbeat and legs crossed. Neither of my boys crossed their legs. Lexi did and we only had ONE ultrasound, so she was a surprise.
