So yesterday we went to the hospital for the "official" NT/ First trimester screening. It was actually not that bad, they took blood from my finger (that started gushing 5 minutes after they put the band aid on) and then we were off to the ultrasound. This machine was super clear, and we got to see the baby kicking around, its whole body was jolting and mouth was opening and closing, so we're assuming hiccups. The legs were nice and stretched out and out little acrobat was kicking away and did a flip in the middle of the ultrasound. The NT fold was nice and small and the nasal bone is well formed, so that brings our risk factors really down, we'll get the results of the blood work by Friday. They're also checking for a few more things because of my previous miscarriage.
The doctor was very nice, so if I had to see a Perinatologist on a regular basis I would definitely go do her.
The tech was a snot, and would not take a peek, even though I asked her to, and told her I was dying to know....so I'm going to have to wait for my next ultrasound....but the baby is healthy and that's all that really matters, who cares how much shopping is in order.
