This morning I went in for my dating ultrasound appointment. I have been such a nervous wreck and having so many terrible dreams, so it was a relief to get it over with.As soon as we got in, the first thing she did was look for a heartbeat! and BINGO!! we got one!!
So then I could relax a little, I have never had an ultrasound this early, but did enough internet research to know what to look for.
The baby is measuring 3mm right now, so it turns out I must of ovulated later than I thought, and she pushed my due date to October 28th....booo I lost 6 days, and knowing my track record of going overtime, this whole pregnancy is already feeling like an eternity!
Christopher was soo curious during the whole thing, he kept trying to sneak a peek at the vaginal ultrasound wand! I really think he wanted to play with it! ewwwww.
When we got home he said: "the lady poke mommy's with a stick in the balls".........he's killing me.....and once again I had to explain to him that mommy does not have balls.
Gotta love boys!
Next week I go in for my regular OB visit, and we'll get the results from the blood work that they did 2 weeks ago.
Hopefully then I might be able to relax a little.

What excellent news! I am so happy for your little bean. My 4th son was a girl on ultrasound so I offer up the name I didn't get to use as a consideration.

actually DH and I picked out a girl and boy name and decided to keep our mouths shut till the kid is born...wonder how long that will last!
but Adeline is really pretty!
Oh, yay, Anna! I am glad things went well with the US! And, OMG, I am DYING here over Anthony telling everyone you got poked in the balls. That is freaking hilarious!
