This morning even though the boys were home from school (if I'm ever elected to any office I will totally fight this). I took my 5th grader to his living history lesson.
He was soo excited to come to the polls with me, I showed him who to vote for and he pushed the little levers for me and then pulled the stick to register our vote.
Since this is such an important election and all he's been talking about I thought it was important to make him a part of it. He still has 8 years until he can cast his own vote, but he got a big sense of accomplishment and can't wait to share his experience with his classmates.
The moral of the story is GET OUT AND VOTE PEOPLE!!!!!!! every vote counts and this time around I believe it will really make a difference.

(thanks Beth for the pretty graphic)

I'm so glad you brought him. I think it's fabulous to involve kids this early!
